Hi Guys,
How does this keyboard compare to the HHKB? Is it worth the money?

Different beasts entirely in terms of looks, size, weight, switch options, and (probably) customization. I don't own a RW keyboard, but I've been very tempted by a few of them. I suspect that they're probably worth the investment if you want to build your own and like their designs. The big wins with it are color choices, style, extra PCBs available, dampening and weights.
I've owned the HHKB. With it, you're paying a reasonable amount for a plastic case, great keycaps, great switches and a very specific layout.
I'd be interested in hearing what owners think of their Koyus and M60-A SEQ2s once they get them and have used them for a few weeks.

Do you know how many of these keyboards usually get manufactured? If so, is there a high resell value?

They are 2 completely different boards. The rama is compatible with any mx switch the hhkb is topre. The form factor is also different, the hhkb is hhkb layout, the u80 is 80% or more known as 75%. Its all preference.

Ah, well I just noticed it doesn't come with keycaps! :(

Haha that's better you can get your own custom keycaps, gmk, epbt etc... for build quality u80 is way better than hhkb btw. Only thing is if you would like topre or normal mechanical switches. U80 is way more versatile and if it was me I would get u80 instead of hhkb...

The great thing about both keyboards you're considering is that you'll be able to unload them pretty quickly and get some or most (not all) of your money back.
One other thing to consider: the wait. Do you need something soon? Are you patient?
Good luck deciding!

I can’t wait, I ordered the Moon hot swap with the extra internal dampener and plan to outfit it with Zealios 62g tactiles and will use the set of GMK Mizu’s I have on order plus the matching Mizu desk mat.
This will be my first high end keyboard and I super excited as I really wanted a killer TKL.

I'm a sucker for white boards and HHKB layout, so when they dropped the M60-A Seq2 in Milk I had to snag it. Also went with the extra weight and figured I'd throw in a dampener as well, so I can make it sound/feel different. They're hella pricey, but it's a hobby. I don't mind spending on things I enjoy.

livewirerc: I was really tempted by the Milk M60-A Seq2. Please share pics here when you get it!

Wow, it looks amazing, I wish there was ISO layout...

RAMA's design is always awesome but someone said that typing feeling is not really good for RAMA - it's just so so and can not compare with TX keyboard
I am too confused to get U80

That's subjective. What is fact though, is that most RAMA boards have a hard impact when bottoming out due to its solid build. I didn't find it an issue at all but I'm a light, touch typer. Even the occasional bottoming out shouldn't be a problem. But if you are a heavy typer and bottom out really hard, could be a problem.
This is probably why the U80-A comes with rama.work's silicon mount. This will probably soften the feel of bottoming out.

They compare like this.
They are different in every way aside from them being keyboards. :thumb:

I've noticed that it has 7u spacebar. Why is that?
WHy it doesn't cover other layouts?

I don't think it's worth comparing them since theyre such different boards...
