I bought a rather large desktop calculator from 1971 at my local thrift store.  I love the bright VFD display and the satisfyingly solid keyboard.  It's pretty amazing to think that, in 1971, these things were selling for hundreds of dollars.  You could even rent them.

It might be a bit overpriced, but you gotta dig those Nixie tubes!

Speaking of expensive vintage calculators, my last batch of eBay auctions included this:
