I have purple sliders. I have not tried Type-S but I am pretty sure the only difference, in the newer Type-S sliders, is the color of the stem. They are a bit taller to offset the rings.

Does the KBD silence-X ring bring the same feeling as TYPE-S and Purple Slider?

I have heard good things about those but the problem would be that your stem would be shorter (loss of travel) than the Silent slider stems

Love the purple slider, but unfortunately I don't know where to get it. Does anybody know?

It depends on how old a Type-S is. In mid-2016, PFU started using the elongated stems from silenced RFs in the Type-S, but made them black. Prior to that, the stems were just normal black stems with silencing pads, so the feeling was more compromised.

Would a newer Type-S feel different than a HHKB with purple stems installed? Maybe. Opening a HHKB and removing the stems from the housing _could_ alter the stock feeling.. but they're probably real close.

Silence-X are fairly similar and most certainly less expensive. There's a new silencing solution that I recently came across which offers 3 different silencing ring thicknesses, which is neat and I'm tempted to try out.

can you link the exactly source of this change since mid 2016 of Newer TYPE-S?

this is a very big news, thanks a lot for your knowledge !

I ask KBD Fanks already and they said choose 3 ! :)

I read it a while ago on a thread but I can't seem to find it now. I did find this though: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=88702.0
Two people seem to feel that purple sliders give you more travel than the Type-S.

I'll be honest though: I'm not sure if you necessarily want the _most_ travel from your sliders on a HHKB. I've heard quite a few times that people prefer stock sliders with Silence-X over purple sliders.
I have purple sliders on my lubed HHKB, and while it's nice, actually wasn't as quiet as my stock HHKB with Hyperspheres, and the additional key travel does add to the sound.

My preference for HHKB is actually my stock sliders with Hypherspheres and BKE-light domes.

I've yet to try BKE-lights on my purple slider'd HHKB but I plan to do that soon.

I'm also holding off on the Pro 3, which should be releasing this year.

Yah, I know about the different between HHKB Slider and Purple one, But seem hard to find the confirm source that say from mid 2016 they use longer slider in HHKB TYPE-S ...

anw, thanks for your knowledge !

p/s: ABT The pro 3, they said it will be in the FALL, but not much information yet ?

Do you think they will also introduce new Bluetooth? since it has just been introduce since 2016

We don't have any real information about the Pro 3. We have evidence that it is happening and probably soon, because the Pro 2 is now discontinued in Japan.
PFU doesn't really reliably show their product releases or roadmap so we don't really know. I'd expect a new Bluetooth eventually but not necessarily together with the new Pro 3.

sure they will be much more expensive than current HHKB ?

I think this depends on what they change. I'd expect a small increase for the cosmetic changes.
Bigger changes like adding in APC, MX-compatible sliders (highly unlikely), RGB (highly unlikely), dampening pads will definitely add to the cost.

I think the most likely changes we'll see is APC plus some cosmetic changes so I'd expect a decent price increase.
