Title: Taking Care of Your (not) Brand New Model F!
Post by: filcomanfilthy on Sat, 06 July 2019, 15:00:30
So I just bought a good conditioned model f from somebody, and I am wondering tips on how to keep it clean and safe, as well as things that I could do to ensure this on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

First off, stop being a filthy filcoman. Secondly, unless you take a hammer to it and purposely destroy the keyboard, model F is built to last. If you google search "Model F restoration", you'll find that many peeps had successfully restored model F's from piss-stained to pristine conditions. Just use it and an occasionally clean up here and there would suffice.

Keep it dry and out of extremely dusty areas and it will probably outlive you.
