Hey guys,
Newbie here who just got into the mechanical keyboard game.
I'm starting to look into designing my own aluminium case for 65% layout.
My questions to start are:
Are all 65% PCB the same size?
Are all 65% plates the same size?
Do all screw/bolt positions for plates into PCB's remain the same?
Or are they all dependent on each other specifically?
Like, can I put a RAMA 65% PCB into a KBDFans 65% case? I'm not asking about this scenario specifically, but you get the idea of what I'm trying to ask.
Details like that are what I need to figure out so I can 3D model stuff and get it quoted from factories in China.
I have an industrial designer background and I do this kind of 3D modelling-get quote in China factory-organise samples/production/delivery on a daily work basis.
Would of course, eventually make this a group buy thing, so any and all ideas for a 65% are welcome.
Suggest good PCB's that I can get and measure up to design a case around, etc etc.
Thanks!

There are "generic" PCBs that supports the generic layout but higher end boards tend to have different mounting styles. They have their own PCB, and sizes differ. You can find a readily available 65% PCB and base your design around that.
