So I'd like to do a dissection of my G80, but there's a bit of a problem. Rather than being held together with screws like every other keyboard I've opened, instead it's got some sort of snap-together arrangement that I'm not sure how to undo. Has anyone opened up their G80-8xxx board before, and if so how is it done?

I don't have a 8200, but I assume they use the same "snap in" mechanism as all the other G80 and G81 series boards. You should be able to snap the top ones open with just your fingers. If you spot any smaller holes that seem to also hold the case together you will need a flathead screwdriver.
Check Sandy's page about the G80-2100 and see how the back of the case and the opened case for reference on where the case is being held together. I am assuming that G80-8200 is held together in similar places due to the size.
