Title: Reuters 1994 keyboards
Post by: Propology on Wed, 21 August 2019, 21:48:39
Hello My Name Is Emile Oliver .
I am the Props Master on A feature film being filmed in Australia about Currency Traders in 1994 - 1995 set mostly in New York
I am in need of a lot of help because i have realised how difficult it is to try to find Rueters Key boards .
I noticed your picture of the wall of the keyboards you have as your profile picture .
Would you be so kind to maybe help me firstly with trying to work out the correct keyboard .
Is the Reuters sk 101bl - mcbx 8 bit correct for 1994 or the cherry cherry g80 which comes up as 1996 to late or DK 3000 ok to use .
Next questions i need to purchase at least 4 of the correct type .
I know this is a big ask but if there is any help you could give me to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated .
Anyhow thank you for your time and pateince and i look forward to your reply .
My email is emile@propology.com.au
Many Regards Emile Oliver

Welcome :)

I will forward this to some of my people and see what they know since they know more about those keyboards than I do :thumb:

I would also check deskthority.net as they are more of the purist hobby forum - geekhack is more for keycaps and 'makers'

I have a G80-9009

Googling I found these for sale:
    https://www.99go.com/item/13621819071     and...
    https://www.99go.com/item/8396247469
(Minimum order qty = 10! huh?)

and:
    https://world.taobao.com/item/13621819071.htm
    Qty 1. $71 From China

Here's all the accumulated data I have on them:

There's a similar era keyboard, the WEY Technology HK2000 you may be able to find:
    https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?t=15102

Do they have to work? or just "look pretty?"
How soon do you need them?

Good luck!
