I have the Kailhs Thick Golds on a Planck EZ; I LOVE that feel... I'm typically not into clickies but wow.
I'd like to order a few more to annoy colleagues, neighbors, cat, and the girlfriend at home once I've got enough keyboards fitted.
Do non-box Kailhs also have the thicker-than-expected stem which could result in cracked keycaps?
My Planck is a week old so I would guess the switches are recent too.
Thanks!

Regular Kailh stems should be completely fine. Even Holy Pandas use Kailh stems, and nobody complains about those causing issues with expensove keycaps. FWIW I also love the Kailh Speed Gold switches & have observed no issues across MT3, GMK, SA, DSA, ePBT, OLKB Acute, etc.

I haven't heard of any problems with the regular non-BOX switches affecting keycaps, and I haven't experienced any myself. [Kailh Speed Copper, Pro Purple, Kailh Brown].

Thanks! I guess I'm good to order some regular Kailh Golds!
