Also, if you're looking for double shot keys on [strike]brown[/strike]clear switches, this seller (http://cgi.ebay.com/REFURBISHED-CHERRY-Keyboard-G80-8113HRBUS-2-/290392734351) is still accepting offers of $30 for a refurbished G80-8113HRBUS-2
Edit: actually these are probably the less desirable clear switches (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?t=10033).

Anecdotal data point: I tried offering $30 for this keyboard a few days ago and didn't get a response, alas.

first time to see a G80-11908

Which ones do you mean by less desirable?
-
- Cherry Blacks
- Double shot caps
- horizontal Enter key
- Integrated TrackPad
- Black case
- Did I mention double shots?
- and best of all: New in box
Yay. Sold.
Wait a sec, the black one has a horizontal enter key and the white one has a vertical enter.

Auction pic has box with white board, but claims black. Anyone receive theirs yet?
-
That's my issue too. What is this keyboard going to look like? This Kb should be easy to hacksaw mod too if anyone wants to go crazy with that.
-
Are they really black? Yes, that is my question, too. Do the black boards come in boxes with white board graphics?
-
One of you should contact the seller to verify the color & layout. Ebay is often a bit of a crap shoot.
-
I'm curious about the double-shot keys... I have an 11900 with horizontal enter and black switches, but it's definitely lacking doubleshot keys... I'm going to be bummed if these are black boards with black switches and double shot keys after I felt like such a champion for snagging this beige (read:severely yellowed)board with the same layout, switches, etc but lasered instead of DS keycaps. Close to the same price, too. First person to get theirs please let us know if these caps are really DS.

Our warehouse is closed on the weekends, I will add pictures of the keyboard itself on Monday.
Check back Monday.
I'm not ordering one of these for the record.
-
I ordered one from this seller via this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260589031219#ht_500wt_1154
The one I got was black with a spanish layout, double shot, vertical enter key.
-
I live in Spain,...It's a shame this person sells spanish keyboards....and don't sell it to Spain...

What type of switches does it have? Any pictures?
-
It uses cherry blacks, the spacebar is a little stiffer, and it's got a gray switch.
-
I just bought one of them. My local Staples has one of these boards in the place where you fill out information for UPS shipments and I love the feel of it. Now I just need to find a cheap board with brown cherries and I'll be able to determine which switch I prefer.
-
ripster, did you buy that board from the seller linked in the OP?
-
Holy ****. Virgin Cherry blacks with 2-shot caps are like smooth sex after hours of foreplay. I just made love to my Cherry blacks. Excuse the spoo.
Picture is from actual item received from auction.

Spanish keys produce the character expected from that key location on an English/American board. Wait a second. The Spanish/English boards are NOT identical physically. Pic pending.
-
Ricer is your windows key printed?
-
The windows keys and the menu keys to the right of the right windows key are all printed, but those are the only three that are.
I've been using this board since it arrived yesterday. I think it's pretty nice to type on, but the space bar is a little stiffer than I prefer. The only key cap I could get off with my fingers was the backspace key, so I'm not sure what switch the space bar has.
Also, my trackpad doesn't work well at all. In fact, it's almost useless. I can only get it to register input when I have my finger right at the edge of the pad or by repeatedly taking my finger off and reapplying it to the pad to try to get it to move. I's not a big deal, though, since I don't plan on using it ever.

I had been looking at these but don't feel comfortable enough to pull the trigger.

Consider chopping the numpad off with a saw (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:9542&do=comments&page=2), that will teach it a lesson, and save you some desk space too.
