What kind of battery/extra battery accessories would I need to buy to use with this board?
I am a bit confused. So... does it suppor QMK or not?
The description says it supports QMK, but the guide says the firmware is to be done.
As it is a R2 GB, I found the R1 thread in Reddit and you had written there the board is to be edited only by VIA configurator.

I just want to make sure if it supports QMK now or not. :o
Grabbed one to give it a shot. Am curious, as are others, if it supports QMK.
Cheers!
Anyone know any cases that would support this pcb with the bluetooth battery? Or have any pics of a completed setup with the batteries and wiring in place?
I was thinking of this one:
https://drop.com/buy/npkc-60-percent-wooden-wrist-rest-keyboard-case
1) How many Amps (operating current) does it consumes while connected wirelessly at about 1-2 Meters from the PC in a plastic case and all the lights off?
2) Is it possible to be used while the battery is charging ?
3) (Dumb question) Does the PCB detects when the battery is fully charged and stops charging it ?
4) Does it have anti ghosting (NKRO) wired and wirelessly? If yes, how many keys in each mode?
5) The BT 4.0 works on both iOS and Android devices with 4.0 ? Normally there must be a manual switch telling the pcb to which OS i want to connect.
6) Does it need a dongle to be bought separately like the Anne Pro 2 ?
Apologies for making so many questions, but i am really interested in supporting the project.
A full build log also would be nice.

Would it be possible to do split backspace by soldering the pads ourself? Looks like the pads are available next to the backspace socket.
I'm trying to order two PCBs with shipping to Kazakhstan, but country is not listed among the ones you ship to. Is it possible to ship here? Thanks

Hi, we just edited the rate for Kazakhstan.
You can now see the shipping price when checking out. :thumb:
Is it possible to configure for "SpaceFN" layout?

Thanks, ordered!
Are kbdfans 60% plates compatible with that pcb? For example, this one: https://kbdfans.com/collections/plate/products/dz60-cnc-aluminum-plate?variant=2208864436237
Hello! Are we on schedule for a decemeber shipping for those who joined the R2 GB?
Thank you!
Will this fit a Klippe or are those cases PCB specific
Any word on these shipping out this month?Just saw this on their Instagram.
Will this fit a Klippe or are those cases PCB specific
Does the Klippe have space for a battery?
The hi-profile R3 case doesn't look like it does.

I know this was awhile ago but came on to check on status for this GB saw the comment.
I can confirm Klippe R3 won't fit a battery with this PCB :( (I have an R1 version). That being said, I've tried the hot-swap version, you could MAYBE fit one if you had the solderable version? but yea, the clearance is pretty tight; spacers or something to give a little more clearance between the PCB and bottom is needed.
ngl but a few things here are more than fishy to me...
First: why the secrecy around the QMK support? Bluetooth support is not a valid reason for this. QMK supports bluetooth of it's own very well.
Second: why are you advertising a bluetooth enabled pcb as VIA compatible when the VIA documentation pretty clearly states that it is not compatible with any bluetooth functions?
we already had a few people ask questions about this pcb on the qmk discord now and we couldn't help any of them because of this.
Mine arrived pre-flashed with a VIA Configurator compatable build of QMK.
Programmed it over USB using the app.
Neato. Mine arrived, haven't had a chance to mess with it, but this thread is making me think I might just sell it.Mine arrived pre-flashed with a VIA Configurator compatable build of QMK.

Yeah apparently they are redistributing a modified version of QMK and an older version of VIA with the board.
Which btw. violates the license of the QMK project since playkeyboard does not provide the modified sourcecode anywhere. :-X

2 of the 3 PBC's I ordered let the magic blue smoke out when I plugged in a battery.

Could you please elaborate? Was the battery the correct voltage?

Yup. Correct voltage. Correct polarity.
The PCB's still work over USB at least.

Haven't bothered asking yet with everything going on.
At some point I'll pull out my multimeter and try to figure out what I fried.
At present I'm more interested in seeing if it's just me or other people are also running into issues.
I think I figured out my problem.
The two pig-tails have different polarities and I must have used the wrong one.

What do I do with the orange LED? I got non hot swap version and I actually am not sure where and how I am suppose to solder it to. It's my first project like this, is there anybody here that can give me some advice? There's a charging indicator pad you can solder it to.

I'd tack it on really light and test it. Then flip it if it doesn't work. What do I do with the orange LED? I've seen that picture, but I'm new to soldering. I know which side the contacts are, but which way should the hole in the tab face? Left or right?

Check the BIOI G60BLE PCB Build Guide (http://bit.ly/319wECR) there are images showing LED polarites.
GK61XS is a 60% hotswap PCB with bluetooth: (4th option) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32981170236.html
GK64XS is a 65% PCB that fits 60% cases, and is also hotswappable with bluetooth: (last option) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000993753892.html
do note that these don't use QMK or VIA. they are a trickier to program, but they do work. i have a polycarb KBD 5 degree board with the GK64SX that i use at work. setting up layers took a while to figure out, but once i got it set up it was fine.
