Title: Best PS/2 to USB Adapter to buy off of Amazon?
Post by: YouTube on Mon, 23 September 2019, 20:25:38
I'm going to soon be acquiring a Model M that was manufactured for IBM by Lexmark, and it being a PS/2 keyboard, I was wondering what PS/2 to USB Adapter's you guys recommend I get off of Amazon? From what I quickly read in my research, there are two kinds of adapters: active and passive. What kind would I need for my keyboard? Obviously I don't want to buy a super expensive one, just a simple one that will plug into the back of my computer just fine.

Here's some product information about it, as printed on the keyboard itself, if this helps at all with figuring that out:

I haven't used one of these for many years since I began converting my keyboards internally, so what I have is old and may be hard to find or discontinued. But I can tell you they work.

In the drawer I have one of these (https://www.trendnet.com/products/USB-adapters/TU-PS2) and one of these:

Others which look the same might or not be the same.

I'm using a double PS/2 adapter from Lindy with my G80-11900 and both the keyboard and the built-in trackpad work without a hitch.
