Title: Tactile equivalent of Box Pink
Post by: Statement on Thu, 03 October 2019, 17:47:10
Hi all, currently only just starting to fall down the rabbit-hole of keyboards and and currently trying to find my perfect tactile switch.

Currently I have bought two GMMK compacts (one for work and one for home) so I can easily try various switch types.

I've settled on that I definitely want clicky switches for home. Started with Gateron blues (which I liked more than an older board with cherry blue), and recently bought a set of Box Pinks which are an amazing upgrade and seem be at a nice point between tactile enough for typing, but ignorable enough when mashing in games, stiff enough to not bottom out, but not too fatiguing, not to mention the click is a much nicer sound than blue's. I feel like it may be difficult to find something I enjoy more than this.

For my work board I started with Gateron browns (okay, but a bit light and not enough tactility overall) and have since moved to Hako Royal Clears which I quite like, but are a bit fatiguing. I think after using this for a few weeks I would prefer some pre-travel and a bit lighter overall.

Anyone have any suggestions on what the closet tactile switch to box pinks would be?

Other clickbar switches, like Box Pale Blue or Jades.

Those wouldn't be tactile...

That said there really is no tactile equivalent of clickbar switches.  The sharp, clean bump of the clickbars doesn't exist in the tactile world.

Try a Zealio, novelkeys has a sampler pack of zilent zealios tealio and healio. I use navies and like the big click bar, but use novelias or zealios if I need to share an office.
