Title: Most up-to-date and accurate keyboard database?
Post by: kelvinhall05 on Sat, 05 October 2019, 08:08:15
I know Deskthority has one but it's so-so and I've found it a little hard to navigate and some stuff is annoying (e.g. you can filter by Alps switch but not any more past that, which isn't very helpful imo). Is there a better one that I just don't know of? Thanks!

There are so many variations and inconsistencies that I am not sure that a truly comprehensive list is possible or viable.

In decades past (ie Alps heydays) proper records were rarely kept. For example, people have been trying for years to find out what lubricant was used in Alps switch bodies, but nobody seems to know and there don't appear to be any records.

It's unknown mainly because it's a trade secret, not because they kept poor records.

Oops, didn't realize that. Thanks for the correction.
