ok thats my first post .
after reading several hours and getting deep into the dark force
i got a small idea of the mechanical keyboard materia.
im from germany.
iam looking for a keyboard to play games because i play a lot of games
so gamers recommended = cherry mx black
after googling i made a few decisions
steelseries 7g is what i want but its too expensive fo me
abs m1 wow i want it but i cant find it anywhere Anywhere!
but then i googled this one Cherry CHERRY G80-3000LPCEU-0
its also uses cherry mx black nipples and its relatively cheap
so does anyone use this keyb or own it? . is there anything negative about this keyb like ghosting etc.
heres a link ofthe prices
http://www.preisvergleich.at/preisvergleich/Tastatur-Tastatur-Set-8762/G80-3000-LPCEU-0/
well i googled also the other keyboard s from the default mech keyboard list but most of them r too expensive unavailable or look too nerdy.
are there any other options maybe for mx black keyboards?

Welcome to Geekhack!
G80-3000s have only 2-key rollover, so they're not a good option for gaming. A full NKRO board with blacks that you can find quite frequently on ebay.de is the G80-1501 HAD. It has a health insurance card reader, so used ones come usually from doctors' offices, which means they're in mostly in excellent condition, as they haven't been used for typing much. Prices vary. I saw one go for €89 yesterday, but won some at €1 myself. If you have some patience, that's a good and cheap option.

I never really had much trouble with those limited rollovers, be it on the crappy Dell QuietKeys I used for a decade, or my brand new G80-3000...
Even in games where I have to crouch, lean, zoom, go forward and whatever, I have no issue.
That's probably because the WASD area is favored somehow.
Now of course there may be games that require you to have a ****load of keys (out of WASD) pressed altogether, but it seems these are not the ones I'm playing...

i just got the keyboard steelseries 7g arrived astonishing fast at me.
the keyboard bet my expectations
it is my first mechanical keyboard and it was an amazing feeling to type like this for the first time either its the mechanic or its the response time of this keyboard maybe both but i got to share my enthusiastic feelings about this keyboard with you guys. even though i wasnt expecting to improve my gameplay it clearly did. i can very control my movements better ingame the response time became for me like 2x time faster and especially the space button is extremely fast for me.
i can only recommend this mouse and im happy that i bought it.

The title of this post got me thinking there is going to be a new Flash Gordon reboot.
Seriously, if you're worried about NKRO and gaming, try using the numeric keypad for your controls. Even on old, non-gaming board, you might be surprised by what you find.

Yeah. 2KRO.

apachi1, seems like that new keyboard of yours doesn't work fully either: the shift keys are as much broken as on your other keyboard *cough*

I was wondering about that. Is that 7G mouse keyboard what comes with More Beer keys or is that a no sleep key?

This smells of more than Engrish. You're definitely having one helluva experience, apachi1, so please share whatever you're on/doing with the rest of us.
Congrats on satisfying mechanical keyboarding.
