Design
Klippe means Cliff in Norwegian. Based on the Klippe T(tray) by Mekanisk, the Klippe S has some considereable upgrades. It is bottom mount, with an isolation layer. It is mounted in a way that makes the typing experience even and has a richer sound. There is now also an option for blocked corners. Klippe S is designed for a firm and even typing experience.
Low starting height: 18mm (lowest on any Mekanisk board)
8 degree typing angle
Isolation
Standard isolation in form of a carbon fiber layer for the mounting plate to rest on. This does help elimitinating the potential for pinging and metallic sounds from the keyboard(which can occour on 2-part keyboards). All in all, it is an affordable way to ensure that the keyboard sounds like you want it to, without costing you more than necessary. It's nothing magic.
Typing experience
Klippe S has a firm and even typing experience by default, this is due to the plate resting around the whole case. You can adjust flex by customizing the plate and isolation.
Weight
Klippe S has no weight, however it weighs around 1.3 kg.
How to buy
As many of you know, I do not start out a new design by selling a large amount of units, then make the kits more available later. Initially there was going to be a raffle, however there might be some kind of FCFS in addition, or maybe just that. We have a little more time to figure this one out.
First round will have approximately 50 units. The next rounds will have more, and might have a different pricing, design and options.

Yes, the bezels are larger. This is mainly due to the plate resting around the entirety of the case.

I have finished up some decisions regarding the anodizing roughness, and I will color match all the way until production, to improve the colors(only the ultramarine sample is exactly as i want it).
I am also testing which plates are the best :)
Then we are ready to go with the pre order.

Will it be an astronomical figure to do that or plain impossible?
There is totally no option out there for this very practical (aligns with the home-column hand/thumb positions) but asymmetrical layout.

Is it possible to request regular airmail? Both DHL and UPS are working with organizations only here: they will simply return the parcel back to sender. If you're shipping from Norway, then Posten is the only option for me, unfortunately.

Absolutely fantastic board, beautiful sound, weight and feels so solid. Love it! Good question! I'd like to try GMK Firefly (once it's made and it ships) to see if the blues from the set are a good match for the blue on the case. But if not that, maybe ePBT Extended 2048 by biip, which is a nice white set. How about you?

I'm currently typing on it and it is a dream, the height is perfect for me and the case really highlights the switches sound profile with no pings or hollowness. I've never really written a proper review but these are my thoughts after using it for a day! Now that I've run out of things to say I'll leave a build log, sorry in advance for potato pics. They really don't do justice to how good this board looks in person.

Got my custom brass plate in from LaserBoost last week, and got a chance to build my Klippe S the other day. I'm loving it! I've got some lubed and filmed H1 linears in it, and ePBT 2048 on it. I thoroughly enjoy typing on it!

I snagged an extra and am loving this board so much! Is there any estimates for when extra plates and pcbs will be available? I also would like to try brass and polycarbonate as well.

Ahh that's exciting! I will certainly be picking up a CF plate as well. I hope PCBs will be in at the same time too so all that stuff can be ordered at once.

I second this, I want to make this into an Alps board if possible.
Did you ever do this? I'm interested in the Klippe S, but only if I can get a custom plate with an Alps (AT101) layout :)
