So I was planning on a possible SKCM clickies built for near future, while researching on parts I should use, I noticed that while there are quite a few example of SKCM tactile on acrylic plate, I haven't found any SKCM clicky built utilizing acrylic plate. So it got me wondering why is that? Anyone ever found SKCM clickies built utilizing acrylic plate elsewhere (and typing test)?
While on topic, anyone know where to order custom Alps plate (metal or acrylic) in Asia? Most services I found are in US and is quite pricey.

While on topic, anyone tried this ghetto costar mod for Alps stab (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=57458.0) before? How well does it work?

I think most people that build custom keyboards use Hiney H87 Alps plate which is FR4. I just built my Duck Orion V3 and I think this is the best plate material for the cost and availability. As for the sound I have to say it sound deeper than stainless steel which seems to be the most common Alps plate but it doesn't sound good at all.
