I wanted a katakana set for my black Thermal, but decided against it for that reason.
Has the dye process been modified to ensure a truly black color? Or is it just a limitation of the process that they won’t be dark enough to match a truly black board?
Regardless, I think this is a great idea and I could have used a BoW kit like this for my white Grid 600! Ended up getting some okay caps from Aliexpress, but would have preferred this set. I might upgrade to these even!

We're actually trying really hard to ensure the blacks come out much blacker compared to the Katakana Sets, this was just the erroneous ways of a first run and we're gonna see about getting it as dark as possible, obviously we won't be able to get to ABS level black but we're aiming for darker than past sets.

I personally don't think photos do our katakana set much justice, it's a very nice looking set IRL but we're gonna hard focus on getting this set as DARK as possible. We're heading to the manufacturer as we speak to have this conversation and any feedback is important!

Either way, good luck with this. It's about time we got more PBT sets. GMK caps are good and all, but the shine is immediate, very real and irreversible.
And PBT caps just sound better...

we can certainly look into Colevrak with enough demand, the MOQ of this factory is quite high though so we'd have to make sure we don't increase the price to unbearable levels and if we did a seperate typist kit you'd probably be looking at another 60-70$ price tag (I'm spitballing here cause I don't have quotes in front of me)

- The ISO group is missing the R3 \| key (required for English (USA) over ANSISO or ISO); bonus points if an R4 <> key is added as well.
- For that matter, if ISO is going to be about English (UK), the AltGr keys should be present, too.
- I dig that the numpad has two options for the = sign. That said, I miss the numpad comma.
- I understand that F13 should remain in the Non-Standard group. But... wouldn't F14 and F15 be better off in the Mac group?

I am super in to the non apple versions of WoB and BoW. But please put R3/R4 PgDn/PgUp in the non standard kits please.

Out of curiosity, why did you go with an X instead of using the actual escape (⎋) symbol? Backspace is using the back-tab symbol (⇤) instead of commonly used backspace symbols like (⌫) or (⟵) but that's not necessarily a big deal. Up arrow and 1u Control keys might get confusing also, though if they look the same then that might make them a bit more universal in usage and could potentially help reduce the number of keys needed in the kit.

I'd like to see some different Escape options in the Mac kit. I like the Power icon thing from Extended 2048, because that's the actual correct legend. The X is subtle and quite nice, but not very Apple. See "Force Quit" below.

- The black is more like a dark navy instead of true black. It doesn't look bad at all, but it's definitely not 100% black.
- Longer keys have very slight warp to them. 1 key (6.25U Space) was unusable due to warping. I know this is common in PBT key caps, but other manufacturers have proved it is avoidable (maybe just better QC?) .
- Thickness of the key caps seem to be slightly thinner than EBPT.
- I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the typing surface of these caps is ever so slightly less than GMK's.
Other than these few short comings, the set are nice to the touch, sounds decent, and definitely very affordable. Hopefully the Infinikey will improve on those!
I kind of want to see Katakana legends alphas as a separate kit. That would allow people to mix and match with their GMKs. ;)

There are few changes I would wish for to make it perfect:
- Most importantly I was hoping there would be a R3 |\ key like on UK Apple keyboards.
- I think I would prefer the arrow in the centre of the ISO enter key rather than at the bottom.

Still a great price at around $125 USD for the size of the kit though. I'm in on Sanctuary Rebirth, so if that turns out good I might bite on a WoB kit. Been tempted by Drops GMK WoB set since I don't have a WoB set yet, but with all the keys in this set I'd rather grab this if Infinikey can get the reverse dye sub right.

What are your guys opinion on Infinikey? I am not familiar with this manufacturer.
Personally I can't speak to their quality yet as Sanctuary Rebirth will be my first set from them, but they did run the Katakana sets from TKCs GB awhile back. Hopefully some people who got those sets can chime in, but otherwise I'd check the GB thread for that. AFAIK the only major complaint on those sets was the black dye wasn't a true black, more like a very dark gray. I have also heard of some people getting warped stabilized keys too (particularly the 2.75u Shift & spacebars), although I don't think it was a widespread issue & that is par for the course with PBT caps.

Nice thanks for posting these! Yeah the quality looks pretty good to me also, especially the reverse dyesub ones. Makes me feel a decent bit better about Sanctuary Rebirth now seeing that.

I gotta admit that dye sub is sharp & on point.
Hopefully it can be as close as possible to the usual black (say GMK black)

Apparently the WOB should be darker this time comparable to the black that was on my kuro shiro which is really black.
