Title: White Label Zenith Z150 without it’s cord
Post by: Cnut the Great on Mon, 04 November 2019, 21:36:47
Well, despite my goal to not buy another keyboard this year, I found an interesting board I just had to get for my Alps collection. The price was right, but I’d failed to consider the condition. My beautiful white label zenith z150 keeb had been castrated by some rogue Luddite, who thoughtlessly lopped off it’s cord. I’ve had some success wiring a pro micro with Soarer’s to a model M-122 battleship, but the community had already put out some amazing build guides. From the look of things, nothing quite as detailed has come out about the z150 AT. Before I attempt this repair, has anyone attempted using Soarers on an AT board, or released details on the pin outs for how it could be wired to a converter? I’d love to preserve the LEDs and the speaker if possible too. Any advice‽

There are several threads on DT for this. But the black label works with Hasu -> https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=94649.0

The white/beige doesn't work on it or at least when I tried it before.

I went through the "Teensy" route, tracing the matrix then hooking it up. Used KLE, KBFirmware, and QMK toolbox for creating the layout, for the matrix, and uploading the firmware respectively.

Anwyay here's my build log: https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19496

Not sure if the attached .json there is usable though.

:D So, hope springs eternal! Amazing job on your z150 at, btw. It’s truly beautiful!
