What do you think is the better, (https://ufabet9x.com) skcm white alps or matias clicky?

From what i have read, alps are better but much harder to find in good condition, as they are very vulnerable to dust. As for the matias they seem to have some QC issues as some peoples report getting dead switches out of the box.
I only have 2nd hand information though would be nice if someone more knowledgeable were to give an answer.

Matias are good, arguably better, but the consensus seems to be that they are super fickle about how they are soldered into place. Get it right, they're good, get it wrong, they stink. Only Matias can seem to get it right most of the time. I have both, working on swapping the Matias with Alps because of it.

IMHO vintage Alps switches are positively sublime. I particularly like the clicky/tactile variants. While I confess that I haven't tried all of the latest trendy MX clones, I like Matias clicky/tactile switches better than all of the usual MX suspects. When budget is factored in, the question becomes, "Do I like vintage Alps switches by a factor of 200%, or more than I like the Matias switches?" The answer to that is clearly no. But, budget permitting, Alps would be my first choice.

For me it is White Alps, absolutely. I like matias tactile ("silent") switch a lot, however I cannot come to terms with his clicky one. For me it is too crunchy, disturbingly so when wanting to reach typing flow. I prefer many other clicky switches (White Alps, IBM Buckling Springs, Kailh box white, even cherry-like blues), but Matias clicky is not among them. (I have matias clicky keyboard long enough to have switches broken-in sufficiently).

But as always with feelings and switch preferences, it is highly subjective.

It's a shame that Matias has a high fail rate, but the switches will never be good as alps.

Depending on the condition of the keyboard, I still much prefer original Alps white/blues over the Matias clickys. You could get unlucky and get a dirty vintage board. Alps don't seem to cope well and will get very scratchy/heavy with a bit of dirt. In that situation, a new Matias switch may be better.

Alps in general are just fickle, always have been, be they genuine Alps, generic Alps or Matias Alps. They all hate wear and dirt/dust.

SKCM > Matias > SKBM
