Bluetooth Filco, white Filco Zero, and G80-3600LYCJA-2 with red switches!  Interesting indeed.

Been patiently awaiting the bluetooth Filco (pref browns, but might consider blacks) here in the States for months.  Not certain if the model in the pic is the most recently-developed version, as I know they were revising it and last I talked to them (about 3 months ago) the newest was "very close".

Nah, pretty sure the one I saw was a bit older. It's the only bluetooth Filco I've seen in Japan during the past year, and there was only one...(thought about picking it up, but I have my sights set on something else atm :)
Price was just under ¥10 000.

I'll have my final wander around Akihabara on Monday to see if there is any new cool stuff.

Nice.

The Yodobashi Camera was pretty disappointing in terms of mech keyboard stock. Compared to other Yodobashi Cameras.

Yodabashi Akiba never had any cherry blues, well nor did Clevery, i had no idea why, and Yodabashi seem to be more expensive as well.

It's been well established that Blue Cherry switches are not popular in Asia. The best explanation I've seen is that the relatively cramped living conditions in the countries involved are not conducive to unnecessarily noisy paraphernalia. The Blue Cherry Filcos are a special order item for us western folk.

Also, Brian of Elitekeyboards has said that Diatec shies away from Blue Cherry switches because they are more defect prone than Browns or Blacks. Which given how many people have problems with blue switches screwing up is perfectly believable.

Apparently the bluetooth filcos were not FCC licensed and had issues, but they're working on a new version. At least according to a thread on overclock.net

I would love a bluetooth ten keyless with blue switches :D

Saw some MX Blue Filcos in Akihabara yesterday (probably T-Zone, but might've been Cleverly).

And for the breaking news, NO MORE MX REDS in AKIHABARA! Well, at least in the stores that had reasonable stock the last time I went. There might be a few shops left with a board or two left (it was raining, and I was busy, so didn't have the time to do a full sweep).

Oh and found a Two Top store in Akihabara. Not even one mech/topre board.

Still I find it a bit strange. Because there was A LOT of MX Red boards (in terms of available stock) floating around before.

Oh well, picked up a μTRON and 30g Topre, so I'm happy (wallet is in tear though :P).

I just approached a seller in China, they still have some stocks of the Reds, perhaps I have to buy one for safe now in view of its recent storage, I still perfer the browns more through..

the μTRON is awesome!

My fingers agree!

The ergo split is already forcing me to correct some of my bad habits with Colemak.

Damn, no more Reds for my shopping trip in July.  I'm gonna be wandering Akihabara aimlessly.

This might actually be a good thing, could mean they're likely to be available for other manufacturers in the near future.

As for your aimlessness, I'm sure you can occupy some time getting your ears cleaned in one of the maid cafes...
