I think you might need to check your discord link again. Also, would you consider a USB C port instead of mini?

id lose the weight engraving personally
Can one use the PCB this has for a regular Alice?
The board is also able to accept standard Alice PCBs if you already have those on hand.
Great to finally see something fresh, new and exciting.
LOLGreat to finally see something fresh, new and exciting.
LOL
Would love to see people do at least something different with these Alice clones.
I guess it’s easier to just use the files without changing anything.
There should be outcry about TKLs being boring af. Same ol' boring Alice. I appreciate the idea with the flex cuts. Not sure how helpful it is on only two rows. Also like the idea of the weight expanding whole alpha cluster.Would love to see people do at least something different with these Alice clones.

Check out the Majaphit or the EM7 in that case. People like the original look of the Alice, I see TKLs looking the same everyday but there's not an outcry about that.

"Similarly, a typing height of over 20mm results in my wrists losing contact with my desk, forcing me to keep my hands floating."
SMH. Proper typing means your wrists should be floating. And for that reason, I'm out.

1. There should be. I’ve certainly brought it up.
2. There is a difference between similar TKLs and literally using the same files.
Please include compatibility for top mount usb c for future proof and for me as I have some usb c pcbs

Wait are there top mount USB C Alice PCBs being publicly made?
Can you add an arrow cluster?

I just pre-ordered 2 of the "ALICE PCB REV2" (USB-C) and 1 POM plate and 1 fiberglass plate. Will your case fit any of those?
No, the PCB you ordered has the USB port on the component side (bottom) of the PCB while this case supports the original Alice PCB with it on the top.
Let the haters hate, and the thread crappers spread their crap. Even with that, your ~50 units will be sold out in no time.
In for one, hoping to get 2.
Also, suggestion for the script for the bottom weight logo is attached.
(Attachment Link)
Hope to see the price for this go down, especially if we have to provide our own PCB. Here is what the original Alice went for: "$463 for case + plate + weight + PCB (Pre-soldered with controller parts, LED's resistors, and diodess)". Cheers!
Feel like pcb should be optional addon, most have alice pcbs and configs already. And if they need they can just order off projectkb.Actually I guess this pcb is unique so it might make sense to include.

Bruh, just keep it to one

Hopefully the price is steep so I won't have to fight for 50 units.

Are you hinting that I should increase the pricing? I would be ok with that :D

You should price this so what you get is worth your time and effort.
I’m inIn for a battle royale that is.
I’d say $400 range is already more than enough for a top mount board. Inflating the price just to create a luxury item only the rich can afford... ah well, my wallet will speak and do nothing I guess.

What sort of mount would you prefer? Top mount is the best I've used. Most gasket boards are a joke, bottom mount isn't bad. Get a POM plate cut for it.
On the board itself: thank you for not making it polycarbonate. If I wanted a plastic board I'd buy a Realforce.
The FallacyThat blue is so hot jeez
People were calling Alice clones "Falice". Sounded a lot like "Phallus" to me. Friend told me that wasn't a good idea. Fallacy it is.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/4oPtmTR.jpg)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/50WJmo4.jpg)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/4il51nc.png)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/00wUDHz.png)
Features
- Top Mount
- Anodized 5052 Aluminum for the Top and Bottom Case
- Sandblasted Brass Weight
- 6.5 Degree Typing Angle
- 16.5mm Front Typing Height
- USB Mini port
- PCB Compatible With QMK
- PCB features flex cuts
- Brass weight spans the entirety of the alpha cluster
- Side cutouts for grip
- Pricing: most likely mid/low $400's (tentative estimate CAN CHANGE)
I chose to go with a relatively low typing angle at 6.5 degrees and front lip height of 16.5mm for my own comfort. I have found that my preferred range for typing angles is between 5 degrees and 7.5 degrees.
Any lower feels awkward. Any higher results in strain on my wrists. Similarly, a typing height of over 20mm results in my wrists losing contact with my desk, forcing me to keep my hands floating. I find this tiring so I made the typing height as low as possible.
Supported Layouts
Will have standard Alice supported layouts
- Split/normal backspace
- Split/normal right shift
- Stepped/normal capslock
Plate
The plate will be the standard 1.5mm thickness. It will be compatible with the standard Alice plate.
There will be a few choices for plate material:
- Aluminum
- Brass
- POM Plastic
PCB
- QMK Compatible
- USB Mini port
- Flex Cuts

The board is also able to accept standard Alice PCBs if you already have those on hand.
Weight
- "Fallacy" engraving
- Sandblasted
- Internally secured by screws
- Alpha cluster has brass under it for acoustics

I enjoy patina so there will be no coating added. End users can apply a layer of wax or something if they would like to prevent patina from forming.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/N6LtC5Q.png)Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/uQlnSwh.png)

Prototypes are almost done already. I will provide updates when I get them in my hands.
Special Thanks
Choobies, Trifelife, Exfinite (Vov), and Warren for helping me prototype and giving me feedback.
Trifelife for designing the PCB.
Yuktsi for open sourcing his Alice files and giving me the okay to manufacture this keyboard.

O I'm not saying that top mount is bad by any means :) What I meant was that a topmount usually requires less material and a easier to manufacture plate. For that reason top mounts are usually a bit cheaper to manufacture than fancy gasket mounts with all sorts of extra stuff that comes with it.
cant join the discord channel.
I'm behind this, but any chance on having a blank weight with no name?
Are the colors final? It kills me that no boards i want are in purple anymore
Is there a TBD date for launch? Or will this information all be shared on Discord first?
will there be limited stock? Or will this be an unlimited buyI don’t see why this will be unlimited. He’ll prolly keep it down to a manageable size so nothing goes out of hand

i think the weight just needs a better logo. having the word fallacy isnt the problem IMO, its just the font/logo.

From what I have gathered, it seems like the controversial part of the engraving is the letter "F".
The issue is that this is the only cursive script font I've found that I felt tastefully did the letter "F" (imo) while keeping everything easily machinable.
A custom engraving would be amazing. Take my money.+1 for custom engraving for the weight. It makes it a custom and unique piece.
I, too, would be down for a custom engraving of a Phallus on my weightA custom engraving would be amazing. Take my money.+1 for custom engraving for the weight. It makes it a custom and unique piece.

$50 for additional PCB
$30 for additional POM or Aluminum plate
$45 for additional Brass plate
Is it going to be through Google forms?
I'm new at this. How can I give you my money and place an order ?It's a race. There will be a google form that opens on the 25th of January at 5PM pst. It it will be fields such as name, paypal email, username, colorway, and extras. Since there is only 50 units being sold, you will be racing others for those spots. Assuming you get one, you will be invoiced later via the paypal account you put into the form
Thanks for the feedback.
I pre-ordered an Alice PCB (USB-C) and a plate (POM) recently from mykeyboard.eu (proxy). The Fallacy's PCB is using USB-mini. Could the cut for the port interfere with a USB-C port ?
