Title: What does your workflow look like?
Post by: LaddieMawery on Thu, 12 December 2019, 09:26:21
Hi all, recently I've decided that I wanted to build my own keyboard after not being able to find one I'm happy with commercially. I'm semi dead set on doing everything I can from scratch too, mainly because I want a fun project and to learn something along the way.

I'm looking for opinions on how I should organize a workflow and a few other questions. Right now I have a layout I'm happy with using KLE and am very slowly moving along with the PCB. Aft that I'll be be at a loss on where to go. I know I'll need a plate and case design. Am I able to export the PCB render to something like Blender to work on building the case and creating the cutouts for switches and what not. I'm aware of the KLE plugin for Blender but I've never done true CAD work before.

Any tips at all are greatly appreciated!
