It's a night and day difference. I found the click to be incredibly loud and it drove me (and co-workers in the office) nuts.
A quick google search led me to a pretty simple video of what it took to silence the clicks on the mouse:
So, after a week or two of waiting for my AliExpress order of $4 to come, I had these:

I got to work and ended up getting all done in about 30 minutes.

Highly recommend this mod if you're annoyed by your mouse click.

I was just thinking that white/gray mx master 2 would look great with my incoming e-white boards. But I hated the clicks on my original mx master. Thanks for sharing!

This is great, I ordered the switches and will be silencing my white 2S when they arrive! I’ll try not to fry the board

There is a trick to silence stock clickers, but u basically sacrifice click distance by bending it. Didn’t really like it after it was done.

How tactile is the finished product? I can do without the click but I need the tactility. Also what lube did you use (jk)

Huh, it actually works. Thank god, the noise is really upsetting indeed, distracts your attention when you're focused.

I did it in the end but on my G603. Got some soldering skills on the way.
Sadly the side buttons are smaller so I couldn't replace them.
