Hi all, i've been getting into the scene more and after enjoying my Realforce for a few years i thought i'd get an HHKB (Hybrid Type-S) for out of home work. I Opened it up to lube the scratchy feeling switches and may have damaged the ribbon cable i think. It is still recognized by my PC and Mac but no longer registers key presses.
Things i know about the cable: it's a 30 pin connector, 1.5cm in connector width
Any resources i could use to get a replacement through 3rd party sites or any advice is very appreciated, thank you
Things i've done already: Post on r/MKKB and HHKB, Gone through 4 bouts of HHKB official support, the best they could do is offer a replacement if my proxy site allows it for $320 + shipping and other fees. Yeah nah.

Are you sure the ribbon cable was reconnected properly?
The hybrid has remapping, I doubt this is the issue but have you tried to open the remapping software to make sure you didn't somehow clear the keymap?

Hi Nick, yep i've got the HHKB remapping software and it's on the default mapping, firmware is updated to the latest available.
When i view the devices settings it just says there's a driver error.
