Double the times it's posted on Geekhack = double the ending bid.

Coveting a keyboard because it's rare doesn't fit with my current financials. Bummer. Just deleted it from my sniping software.

Keyboards like that are overrated. Although I did like the "Options by IBM" line, it had a short life.

The only reason I have to like the M15 is the dual arrow key setup, that is fricking awesome. Then it would eliminate having to move your left hand all the way to the right and have your hands cramped.

But yeah, I'd only take an M15 if it was free or in the dump or whatever... seeing as I haven't paid anything for any of my six keyboards lol.

I like my IBM Quiet Touch keyboards.  They're pretty neat.  I could saw one of them in half.

The bidders on this item are batsh!t insane.

I read that same description on so many auctions for this stupid keyboard and my mind reads "Dr. Phil" for some reason.

What? Who would buy the KB-8923 keyboards for that much? I got two of them. They're nice for a rubber dome, but even I wouldn't sell them for anything over $20.

When they were in the stores I bought two because they're really heavy and really nice keyboards for what they are.

Idiots are buying them for over $50 now.

I'm not really sure why.  They're good and comfortable but not exceptional.

And I for sure didn't buy them for much more than $20 new.

Yeah, I got mine for free lol. There are black ones selling for $20 (http://cgi.ebay.ca/IBM-VINTAGE-37L0814-BLACK-104-SEMI-CLICKY-KEYBOARD-NEW-/350100070740?cmd=ViewItem&pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item5183972154)... so... I don't know what would make the beige version any more special.

Oh, that's easy, the beige one doesn't have shiny keycaps, or at least not that you can see as you can on the black ones.

Actually, my KB8923, all of the keycaps are really shiny, it's like some weird waxy texture. And it's not from using the thing for years and years. They were juts made like that.

My OTHER KB8923 looks really matte and lacks that weird shiny look. I don't know...

The black ones have a really cool logo though.

Those ergonomic clicky keyboards are cool. Too bad they're too expensive.

$860.00

Is that too ridiculous?

Nope. Webwit paid a hefty price for another one of them (but it came with a numpad -- I think old webby mainly wanted that actually).

They apparently weren't made that much (certainly not as much as standard Model Ms), so, people run after and want them.

There's a lot of japanese collectors after this stuff too -- which is kind of dumb, collecting it instead of using it.

ok, I guess it can be compared to spending a million or more on a vintage car.
