Can confirm I am not that dude in the fanny pack (but I could be). Also fanny means vagina in Australia.

Right now, I am looking for a new mid-range smartphone with a good camera(s). I want OIS and good video and macro capability - the latter which could be provided by a UW camera with autofocus if it can focus close distances.
Macro for photos of keyboards and parts, and video for non-keyboard related videos.

But the more I look, the more frustrated I get: smartphone brands now tend to instead of putting better main cameras in new models, they put more cameras in them where the main camera is only mediocre and the other ones are crap, or just used for depth-sensing for stupid effects — and try to sell that off as being better ...
The same stupid marketing-driven crap in the smartphone business as usual. *sigh*

"Fanny" = "vagina" in English slang everywhere except in North America. But people still say "fanny pack" ...

I dabble in photography when I travel (which I do pretty frequently), but only at very amateur level. I know about things like aperture, DoF, exposure, ISO, etc. (which I really need to do the videos xD) and my camera is obviously better than a mobile phone or basic camera, but I wouldn't even call myself a true hobbyist. I do like photography though :) .
