Hi, I'm just getting into artisans and would like some recommendations for silicone rubber that can use for mould making. The casts that im doing won't be very detailed (im not sculpting anything) - just doing some swirly psychedelic resin casts of row 1 SA profile keys. I have seen many people use Oomoo 30, but it is quite expensive for small quantity - and I keep reading that you have to use it all in one go otherwise it just sets.. was wondering if there are cheaper options that are equally as good? What would be wrong, for instance, of using this - https://imgur.com/a/165OeOa ?
I live in the UK and would be ordering online..thanks

RTV silicone works great. After trying a few I settled on this one and have used it successfully for a couple of years now. Great quality and and loads of different quantities available.

Thanks man, think ill order some.
And about Silicon mould release - how's this product -https://www.invotecsolutions.co.uk/ambersil-formula-5.html - it's cheap and quickly available in a store near me (as opposed to Mann Ease Release 200)

Personally I use this, it works well but I haven't really tried anything else to compare it to:

Having said that, using a wax release always leaves a residue that needs a fair amount or work to remove, so might be worth experimenting with a few other types.
