Title: friend needs help (code 38)
Post by: chimera15 on Sat, 19 June 2010, 20:44:54
A friend of mine has a system where he gets a (code 38) where the driver for his keyboard appears to have doubles, or installed already.  Basically he can't use his keyboard in normal windows, although he can get into bios and use it in safe mode.  It sounds to me like he needs to clear his dllcache of the driver for his keyboard, which I assume is a standard driver.  It's one of those dell sweatshop boards with the space saver strange footprint.  Does anyone know what driver name that is so he can delete it possibly, and see if that will cause it to reinstall?

Interesting, just told me he bought a logitech g110, as well and he still has the same issue.   Any clues from anyone, I'm sort of at a loss.

hmm..
