I'm 40 today!!!! :))
...and feeling a bit old... :-X
How did you guys/gals feel when you become 40?
Did you handle it well?
-
Congrats!
I'm not there yet so can't comment, to me age is just a number and everyone thinks I'm much younger than I am so can't see it being a problem but only time will tell.

I blew by 30 and 40 without any hiccups. At 50, I had gained some weight and was out of shape, so it hit pretty hard.
Back in shape, 60 was not too bad, but at 65 I had experienced some physical issues and it has been more difficult since.
Always eat well, exercise, and stay in shape.

It's gonna be great ! We're very lucky to be in this new era of enlightenment .

25 and 27 were terrible. At 30, I felt like my life was 100% over.
Not liking this whole ageing thing at all xD .

Happy birthday!
I'm not there yet, but I have a brother and cousin in their 40s. I think it weirds my brother out knowing he's the age my parents were during his teen and early adult years. He also commented on a group of over the hill cyclists that rides from Florida to Alaska, always thinking he could do it with youth on his side, but now realizing he's the same age.
For me, it's a bit weird that I've known people in their 40s since they were prepubescent. But the weirdest thing of all is that people born in the 80s are the ones turning 40 this year, and people born in 1990 (!!!) are thirty. That still bamboozles my brain.

Congrats, you are now middle-aged!
I think last year hit me the hardest after realizing I have no friends, family, stable career, or savings, and have accomplished basically nothing and what I have accomplished was pointless.
It was all a build up of things getting better and better from 19-26, then afterwards each year got worse and worse. It's been a consistent downhill in all respects since 26 for me.
Your 40s and 50s are when you are supposed be starting to relax and confident in your skills doing your best life's work.

Congrats Phinix!
Congrats, you are now middle-aged!
Does that mean that I'm young since my age is less than 40?

I believe that the tipping point comes when you truly accept, deep inside, that you are almost certainly in the second half of your life.

That's what the statistics says.

Thank guys!
Yeah, maybe I dont have diabetes, but a bit of hearing loss, definitely.
This is rather a result of too much heavy metal on walkman in 90s..:)
