Hi! I have been wanting to build my own custom alps keyboard for a while now and finally got around to doing it. I used keyboard-layout-editor.com to create a normal WKL layout. I put the raw data into builder.swillkb.com. I chose the alps stabilizer type and then entered the criteria for the rest of my board. I used laserboost.com to create a custom plate. Now that I have the plate everything seems to be perfect but a couple of stabilizer issues.
1) My 7u spacebar stabilizer holes should be just a little closer together. Because of this, I can't use the 7u stab bar like I was hoping to. What are my options so that I don't have to waste this beautiful plate?
2) The other stabilizer wires (shift shown) pop out when used. This is not a huge problem because everything but the spacebar doesn't have much wobble. So, if I can't get any stabs to work that is ok.
Has this happened to anyone before? Are there any known fixes?
Thanks ahead of time for any help!
~Jake

Welp there is not much to do then jerry jig it and vile away until it has the right spacing and then gluing the stabilizers to the plate.

Can you bend a new wire with longer "ears"?

Yeah, I would try the wire thing by the largest stab wire I have it 7u. Looks like I will get the Dremel out and see what I can do. Thanks for the help guys!

Fixed the problem with a little file from Lowes. Thanks again for the advice. Don't think I would have thought of that!
