This is the Interest Check for the Trypo-B127 switch spring case - a little case for 127 switch springs so they don't jump around everywhere.
The prototype is sintered nylon.

I was annoyed with putting my springs on a string so they don't get tangled up all the time.

The halves are held together by a friction fit.

It actually is a pretty decent fidget toy.

As can be seen in this render, the branding on the sides of the prototype has been removed to support the clean design and will not be present on anything moving forward.

Do you think you could drop a bit of 105 on the springs while they were in there?

That is definitely possible. You might want to add a little bit on I'd say at least every other hole and then shake it really well. I will need to run a test with some pigments though to give a qualified answer. There is enough space between top and bottom for lubricant to flow between holes while having a tight fit at the sides to prevent leakage.

Looks clean. If these can also be used for lubing as well that would be awesome. TX Keyboards sells a thin plastic lube deck, something a bit more robust would be cool.

Yeah, the thingiverse link is broken, but you can still get the files on github.
I'd like to see how well lubing works in this; can't wait to print mine!

This is def. better than what I'm doing now. Bags are ok, but I'm sure we all dislike having to untangle almost every spring before putting it on a switch.
Might be worthwhile to see if you can make some plastic molds, assuming there is enough interest, but 3D printed material can be quite nice too.

Definitely a pretty cool ideal here! I do get sick of having to untangle springs, although right now I've been using some of the TX spring decks for lubing & storage which I love for those purposes.

You could always take a thin drill bit & make a hole in the bottom of all the wells to allow the excess lube to escape.

I did a test doing shake lubing in the 3D printed prototype. It is not working great. Most of the oil got stuck in the top half. Needs either a coating beforehand, excessive amounts of oil or be machined from non-porous material.

Yeah. 3d printed parts really need to be smoothed and sealed when liquids are involved. Might be able to get away with using a resin printer. But def not FDM
