The still morning air is shattered by the staccato chatter of the machine gun letter keys, punctuated by the muffled boom and thump of the spacebar.

As for the Filco, its more a muted tapping, and any bottoming out is handled by some ghetto rubber dampening at the bottom of the stroke.
