Title: Lubbing Silent Inks?
Post by: FellTattooArtist on Tue, 07 April 2020, 17:34:54
Anyone has any experience lubbing gateron silent inks?

I heard that depending on how you lube them the rubber can get sticky, i am planning to lube with 205.. or maybe just a little bit of 3203 might be a better idea?

How did yall lube yours? would love some pointers

If you're going to use 205, definitely be sparing - less is more when lubing, especially with thicker lubes.

Don't go anywhere near the rubber silencing pads

Just avoid lubing the dampening pads, and where they will make contact with the housing.
Lube the silder rails in the bottom housing, make sure the brush doesn't touch the bottom of the housing, lube the spring, and lube all four sides of the slider (the side with the legs, the side opposite to it, and the two sides that touch the rails in the bottom housing) just make sure that you don't touch the pads on the bottom and top of the slider.
