Those stubby adapters are a really bad idea.

Not even gonna bother going into why. Just don't use one if your keyboard has a particularly heavy cord, or expect damage to your PS/2 plug.

83 Key AT ? I had always thought AT=84 Keys. How strange that age can delude my grey matter.

You're right.  The ATs have 84 keys.  The XTs had 83.  The eBay listing is incorrect.
