Title: Maglite’s or a Model M
Post by: Rusty Rat on Tue, 29 June 2010, 19:36:39
Many years ago we had a robbery at work which got a little nasty. One of the Police officers suggesting carrying 6 cell MagLites for future use as these are not an offensive weapon although carrying one around in daylight might need some explaining .
A friend recently suggested a Model M might be just as useful during daylight and there are plenty of videos around showing just how tough Model Ms really are.

Are we missing an opportunity here? Ricercar and Wellington could have a new market for their older keyboards.

Aussies mod them as Cricket bats to ensure World domination of cricket.

You can always carry a hammer in a bag with the receipt.

As a weapon, a Northgate would be preferred over a Model M due to it's thick steel backplate.

If you have one of these in your hand you probably won't have to use it:

But I hear this is quite effective:

I've heard that if you spray Windex in somebody's face it can blind them. That could be useful.

The build quality of the Model M is grossly exaggerated by the liberal media.

That would get a 3/10 on the Troll-o-meter.

Lol but guess what? Assault an intruder and they can bring charges against you...and will win if they do.

Not in the U S of A! A man's home is his castle. .... as long as you have a clearly posted "no trespassing" sign above each possible entrance.

You're not sharp enough for meta-trolling, don't bother.

That's why you should use a .40 caliber or larger handgun, repeat as needed.

In Texas, you don't even need that.  Crossing the property line unwanted is enough to qualify as trespassing.
