hi, this is my first post, and i want to know where medion outsourced their products (the md8817 and the md8818), as i find the software too clunky and crap.
other than the software, these peripherals are rather great.
after a bit of research, i did find medion had connections with aldi australia and lenovo, so what would you think would be a fitting manufacturer?
any help would be appreciated.

is this the mouse https://www.pcwelt.de/ratgeber/Ein-Jahr-alter-Aldi-PC-Medion-MD-8818-PC-Tuning-301588.html
looks comfy, but i've never seen it before. I wouldn't get too attached to a specific keyboard, because so many have the same layout.

the keyboard is only my first mech, i was just wondering who would have made the underpinnings of it

If you want to know what's inside I suggest you have a look inside - there might be something useful written on the PCB.

i wouldnt want to void my warranty tho

The models you mention in the original post seem to be around a decade old. I can't tell for sure, because you didn't include any actual links to a product.
I don't think there would be any warranty concerns still existent on gear this old.

Have you considered just not using the software or disabling it when not in use?
Keyboards and mice don't require software in order to work, shut it down and disable it until you need it. I have never trusted peripheral manufacturers software, ever.
