As for his price, well, certainly isn't cheap and certainly isn't worth it. NIB M5-2, maybe. NIB M13, maybe. NIB M? No.

Yeah. All of the IBM Model Ms made by Lexmark until 93 had nothing on them to indicate that they were made by Lexmark. However, OEM ones for other manufacturers were labeled as being made by Lexmark. I've seen a few from 1991.

lol, a 91 model M isn't superior or inferior to any of the other ones. They're all the same. Although, my 86 one is very "pingy". Probably because of the rivets.

I doubt someone will buy it. It would be gone at $50, but $300??? Nope.

I really don't know the difference.  I might some day care, but today I don't.  Model M keyboards that are excessively ping-y or clacky, I really don't know.  I'm usually pretty observant about this sort of thing but when a keyboard is as loud and obtrusive as a Model M my senses tend to dull the subtle differences among the various makes and vintages of that keyboard.

I'm probably going to need a Unicomp SpaceSaver before this obsession runs its course, too.
