Title: YMDK 96 - help please!
Post by: th3BHC on Sun, 10 May 2020, 10:59:16
Hello everyone :)

I just received my YMDK 96 and have flashed it up but have run into some problems that I could use some help on.

1. I loaded the new hex and 2 of my keys are now not working (left alt and numpad-) I want to restart the process but now It won’t let me reset the keyboard by unplugging and pressing space+b.

2. I got cherry Mx brown RGB switches and would like to know if the RGB will actually work or if the RGB won’t work in this way using this PCB

I got all of the keys working. It seems that some of the switches came a bit loose screwing everything together.

I'm still wondering if there is any way to use the per key back lighting on the switches or if this is not possible.

Just had a look at this PCB and it seems the RGB LEDs are on the bottom?  If so they are for underglow and won't show through the switches.

It looks like the switch LED pads are connected though so you could use per-key LEDs, but they will be single colour not RGB.
