Hi everyone  , I have a little problem with switchers, sometimes CTRL and L buttons can`t to be recognized to PC. I think so that could be some oxide or another sh*t :biggrin1: . Wonna to open them but I`m afraid to break that switchers. Maybe somebody know how to open them safely?
And another problem with small holders for big buttons (like ENTER, SHIFT etc) it have broken, can I reanimates them or buy somewhere?
I`m using SteelSeries 6G old version with Cherry Black linear switches (sry, cant put photo in), connect by PS/2.
P.S.: And I cant understand why gamers use only linear switches? What bad in tactile switchers?
P.S.2: Ofc thanks to all for help  and sry for my English

Stabilizers are not available anywhere unless you cannibalize an old keyboard.
ORLY (http://www.costcentral.com/searchresults.php?keywords=leveling+kit&x=0&y=0)?

Special order.
Good luck with that.
Oh, FFS.

I think more recent Cherry G81s use the same (cheap and crappy) stabilizers as most non-Cherry MX boards. Here you can find G81s in any dumpster, but I'm no expert on Russian dumpsters.
-
What do the cheap stabilizers look like? I don't believe I have had the honor of meeting one yet.

Greetings, I had same problem with the '2' on the num-pad Yesterday, desoldered the old switch, and replaced, now works fine.
You're in luck, I just happen to have de-switched two Cherry Black kbds (was bored on a rainy day) and have some spare parts.
Check PM

I couldn't get back on the stabilizer on a g80-3000's "+" key, so i just gave up. the key still works and the world didn't end, whoopdee freaking doo.

If I have correctly understood, I should solder out switches from the card, and only then to disassemble?
P.S.: Stabilizers in my keyboard like at screen from Nonmouse but without white things, only switcher has mount in sort "+"

It depends on the PCB of the kbd, some can be disassembled without the need to de-solder out the switches. Guide Link (http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http://my3c.com/D5/viewthread.php%3Ftid%3D4625%26extra%3D%26page%3D1&sl=auto&tl=en). NB: Google Crome browser automatically translates the web-page.
You can open up the switch, reseat the springs and see if it will work.

Thats looks easy but my keyboard have metal frame and switcher is half inside, cuz that is problematically
-
That's not a stabilizer. That's one of those Asian Puzzle things!

That's what we call plate mounted. In this case, you have to desolder switches in order to open them.
-
I think so before asking but hope so u know another way, well thanks to ALL for help, u`r great

That's what we call plate mounted. In this case, you have to desolder switches in order to open them.
You mean, desolder all the switches so that the plate can be lifted off the circuit board?
Is it not possible to reach the plastic tabs on the switches that are closest to the edge?

No, just the ones you want to open.
Is it not possible to reach the plastic tabs on the switches that are closest to the edge?
Even if you can reach them, I doubt you can you can lift the switch top with spread tabs. Unless the holes in the backplate have ridiculous tolerances, that is.
