Introducing KAT Blanks!!

We're happy to announce KAT Blank Keycaps, a cost effective way to try out the KAT profile. KAT Blank keycaps will feature the same color and compatibility as KAT Alpha. The group buy will start on June 19th and will end on July 3rd. The expected date for everything to be finished manufacturing is in September and fufillment in October. Credits to Avi on Discord for helping me kit it and getting in contact with Zfrontier for the set.

Note Regarding KAT Issues:
We've been assured that the Keyreative will be fixing the issues present in KAT Milkshake and has provided us with an extensive email addressing all issues that were brought up by the community. Since our set is blanks one of the main issues we would need to worry about is the caps lock being misaligned. In the lengthy email, they have assured us that this issue will be fixed in all future KAT sets including ours. This was due in part to factory closures and the factories needing to run extensively to keep up with the backlog from the pandemic.

Edit 1: Rows are the same as KAT Alpha 5-4-3-2-1-1 and numpad 0 is supposed to be a 2u not 2x 1u.

It's going to be the same rows and color as KAT Alpha from Kono. So it should be 5-4-3-2-1-1.

Not at the moment, for us to do no MOQ we have to stick with the same colors as KAT Alpha.

I looked at the diagram in https://i.imgur.com/felGSQX.png and those are my comments:

- The third row from bottom-to-up says R4, should be R1.

- The second R5 row has one 1U key; consider having four instead of one, to fully support all 1800-like layouts.

- Shouldn't the R3 1.25U key be in R2?

- The three R2 homing keys are missing; they are specially important in a blank keyboard.

- Consider adding an extra R1 1.25U key, so the 6.25 space bar can be comfortably split (2.25+1.25+2.75).

- Consider adding one column of 1U keys in R1,R2,R3,R4. This will simplify adjustments to the numpad, bottom row, extra Alice alpha and several other variations on physical layouts.

We've modified the KLE slightly here http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/gists/fcb1b3da18b2817f43dfe8787dd77bed and we'll take your suggestions into consideration when we post the GB next Friday. Will update this post as we make changes.

Damn, how did you even come up with this theme? And the colorway to match? It's so out there and so fresh. So bold yet so understated. If you tell me you spent no less than 5 months going through color swatches, contacting and arguing with vendors, and going back over the novelties in Photoshop or InDesign or whatever to make sure every millimeter was this perfect, then I can't believe you.

Sounds good! We'll look future blank sets featuring more colors. Just more of a test run this time around by going with the same specs as KAT Alpha without the legends ofc.

Ordered, but yeah! next run some more colours would be amazing, a few different choices of coloured mods, with still-white alphas would be sweet.
