Hi everyone! Many of you have probably seen teasers of this set from either our Discord or Instagram, but it's finally happening!

We decided to go with one large base kit for this set. We kept the same original kit from the GMK version of this set, which optimized compatibility for several layouts.

Was just wondering about the homing keys. It's my understanding that ePBT are now able to produce scooped-only homing keys so I'm just wondering whether they are added to this kit?
The use of the GMK render has me a little confused...
Either way, it looks cool! I hope my budget can stretch to affording this.

The set has the scooped and barred homing keys, as well as the non scooped/non barred homing keys. The kit doesn't have scooped only homing keys

We may look into that for the future but we're sticking to ePBT for this round. Fwiw, the samples we received were really nice and high quality.

Jumped right on this as soon as I seen it up! Fingers crossed ePBT can get close to their old quality when they used Gateron blanks. I still have a few of those sets & they are easily the highest quality PBT sets I ever seen besides OG dyesubs. Also this set will finally give me split backspace compatibility for my Orange Russian & Red Hangul sets!

Dang, so close. Im out, unforunately. Those homing keys are the only things holding me back from using epbt.

I have a Cyrillic set from Originative and was made by GMK. The Cyrillic is printed on and I can feel it with my fingers.
Is this set doubleshot, or a different kind of dye where I won't feel the lettering? The high quality pictures make it look like these will feel better.

GMK Classic Retro Cyrillic, which is the older version from OCO, has doubleshot latin alphas, and pad-printed cyrillic legends. These have dye-sublimated latin and cyrillic legends, so you shouldn't feel them at all. Hope this answers your question!

Yeah that was super fast especially considering covid is still lingering around & mucking everything up. Hopefully quality was not sacrificed to get it out so quick, I guess we'll see. Although admittedly I mostly bought this set to have split BS compatibility with my OG ePBT sets made from Gateron blanks.

They are indeed done! We definitely overestimated the delivery time a good amount, but we are confident that quality was not sacrificed for this quick turnaround time!

I believe the original run used old gateron moulds whereas these are newer moulds with updated tooling.

Nice to hear! I was thinking Oco would take the full timeline they stated for fulfillment. I think on the site it says shipping was to start in Dec.

Just in case anyone missed it, check your inbox of the email you used to purchase the set. Got a notification from OCO that shipping rates are higher due to the new ePBT packaging. They aren't shipping individual orders until you cover the difference. The additional charge is only $3 for me in IL. No biggie, just a heads up so no one is left waiting.

Thanks for the heads up! It was $6 extra for me over here in PA. Kinda confused about it too, ePBT has always shipped with a box & tray which Oco definitely knows selling their older sets. Not sure why they would think this GB was any different. Oh well thankfully it was a small amount & they did say they'll be shipping everyone's order USPS Priority which probably is a bit more expensive than the combined shipping cost we paid. So I'm not gonna raise hell about it.

Same, really looking forward to this set! I got the Orange Cyrillic, Red Hangul, & a ANSI 60% Blue/Red Hangul from the OG sets, but even the two full sets I got have pretty limited compat. This set will help me out there a ton & has one of my all time fav alphas design!

I had emailed asking about Honeywell & Co. pink accent extras and was told they didn't know when they would put them up, they went up a few days after I had emailed and sold out. So, they'll probably put them up randomly as they always do.

To be fair, if it ships before December that's earlier than the original intended ship date. You should be expecting December anyways. Some people already have tracking, it'll come soon.

i got my kit last weekend and i'm having trouble with the 7U space bar returning slowly and sometimes getting stuck in the pressed down position. at the moment i'm using a 7U space bar from my GMK mac and cheese set and that one works great. i'm using a RAMA U80-A, durock stabs and holy polar panda switches. i tried substituting a gat black ink switch for the space bar but it was doing the same exact thing. that leads me to believe that it's not my keeb's fault. i can hear and feel something rubbing but i can't figure out what it is.
EDIT: the bar looks straight. i can't find any obvious issues with it.
EDIT2: i think the issue is with the receptacles that attach to the stabilizer stems

The 7U spacebar is for sure warped. Very sluggish on my Matrix with Durocks stab. I also tried hot-water it with not much success.

I think this set was made using the old moulds unfortunately.

Ehh, how many times have we heard that from PBT manufacturers by now with the issue never really getting fixed. Also to be fair the 6.25 space & all the other stabilized keys work just fine. Honestly I've pretty much given up on getting a good 7u PBT spacebar & just use color matching 7u ABS spacebars with most of my PBT sets. I just grabbed a set of Gok's ePBT BoW from Divinikeys as a small x-mas gift to myself, fingers crossed no warped 7u space come with it. Although I believe this set was made before the mold retooling for ePBT's spacebars so not particularly hyped about my chances there.
On a side note, have you guys seen Varmilo & Leopold's solution to keep PBT spacebars from warping badly during cooling? I think they have a really good design for it. The entire bottom of the cap is filled with reinforcing fins, enough to look like a grid under there. Not sure how much more it would help with 7u warping, but anything that helps keep them from warping is a welcome change IMHO!

i never had issues with aliexpress PBT space bars. i've bought several sets for as little as $20 shipped. never came across problems like this.
having said that, i'm really impressed with all the other keys and i'm still happy that i bought this set. the legends on this set are better than on my last few GMK sets. if i had to do it over again i'd still buy it. i'll just have to go on r/mm and hope someone is willing to part with a GMK 7U space bar while i borrow a space bar from a keyboard i'm not actively using right now.

I wouldn't say the legends are anything amazing. Especially for the sub-legends. For example, the Щ legend is a bit crooked compared to others. And the F and J sub-legends are a bit higher. This is by no mean a complaint given the group buy price.

compare to some of the GMK sets i got this year, this came out pretty well. i've learned to curb my expectations. my legends look good, i think. the sublegends don't bother. i can see why those two are higher, it was to clear the homing key marks. i forgot what those are called.

Also confirming issues with 7U spacebar and durock stabs specifically. The funny thing is that I'm using the L9 Space bar from 9009 R3 which is visibly more warped than the ePBT space bar. No issues. I assume this is due to warp on the Y axis vs the X.

i didn't event think about L9, i remembered that Cafe is L9 after reading your post. dug it up for comparison, picture attached. CP (GMK PnC - bottom) is slightly lighter while L9 (GMK Cafe - top) is slightly darker than the alphas of this set. i think L9 works better. originative use to carry L9 space bars but they are OOS at the moment. hopefully they'll get some soon.
