				I have never given this much thought before getting into this hobby, or more precisely, smaller keyboards (60%). My default layout is HHKB and I'm having a hard time figuring out what I should do with my left shift. It's just in a pretty awkward place as I'm right-handed with a weak left pinkie. Any recommendation?

				I only use right shift as well, and I have my left shift as (surprise) a shift. Don't overthink it. If you don't see something screaming at you to be put there, then it's probably just better to leave it as a shift.

				I hit space with my right thumb.

				I found a solution! For now I'm experimenting it with autohotkey:
LSHIFT & A:: Send, {( down}{(up}{) down}{) up}{LEFT 1}
LSHIFT & S:: Send, {{ down}{{up}{} down}{} up}{LEFT 1}
LSHIFT & D:: Send,{[ down}{[ up}{] down}{] up}{LEFT 1}

				I don't use left shift either, unless I'm gaming, which means my right hand is on my mouse. That reason alone is enough for me to leave left shift alone even though I almost never use it.

				Wow. I typically use both but I thought the majority of users preffered left shift instead of the right, e.g. the single left shift key on the Planck & hobbled right shift keys on 60% layouts that cram an arrow cluster on the lower right.

For some reason I don't seem to mind even 1u right shift keys.
