That this is the villain in the story.
Cuz he touches the CD's optical surface with his bare hands, only a despicable person would do such a thing..

Outrageous...

Villain always does wrong things, I think this is a powerful villain and deliberately touching the cd player with bare hands.
-
to be fair with him, the chances of damaging the cd doing that is very low, but still, you do not do that.

Guys. I store CD and DVDs loose on top of the Xbox.
Hate me. They all still work.

It's not as if his appearance isn't villanesque. Only villains and their lawyers (which are also villains) wear that kind of hair style. And the eyes should also be a tell.

This...
I used to throw them across rooms and bounce them off brick walls like frisbees just to freak out people who were scared to touch them.
How you damage it matters, not how much.

well to be fair i did play Frisbee with failed burns but not with working ones, but not with working one because even though they may still work it may look much uglier and be harder to read to some players

I tried to Frisbee many times with CDs, but I don't think they fly well enough. They're not stable.

It helps when it's a rage throw.
In the early days of burners the disks were expensive and failed often, you got lots of practice using lots of anger.

i remember failing quite a lot of dvd and CD when burning at full speed but i had no idea that the buffer was made to help with that, i was too late into that game to ever see a buffer less burner, interesting.

Oh yeah dude. We always had to burn em at 2x or lower to make sure it went okay. As in less than 20% failure rate.
Man that first CD I burned and played in a discman though. Amazing. Blew my mind. It had Metallica AND Ted Nugent on it.

on my 1st burner i had to run it at 4x max else it was a guaranteed fail and i already found that slow, 2x must have been a pain, that is a part of that era i do not miss for sure :)
