I start this IC with the intention of offering the option to buy plates of other materials for KBD67, being them FR4 and POM (just these for now). The idea is that users can have a wider range when choosing what type of plate to use, thus having a possibility of feelings in sound and tactility when typing on their keyboard. If interested, fill out this Form (https://forms.gle/gj9FKzAuzNqaQwGF6)
As for POM, I am still researching supplier and prices, I will update them when I get it.

There won't be a GB, this IC is to give me the basis of how many people are interested in what is offered in this post, my intention is to sell the plates in stock. That way I don't produce a quantity that is too high, so there are no stranded plates, nor do I produce a quantity so low that I cannot meet the demand.

I am taking utmost care to perform this service

Never doubted that. I've personally made that mistake before and want to warn others

I made a prototype plate, I'm just waiting to get to the test, I mean FR4. Then I start selling

by soldered version, does that mean the hotswap version has a different plate layout, which you are not catering to? or is the soldered plate the same as the hotswap plate?

With how we in a pandemic it be easier just to have a local laser cutter make and ship to you vs gb find cost might be cheaper and faster since all shipping broken. ;D
-
Been after this very thing! Have found no luck but this sounds promising.
Keeping tuned for updates- can't wait :)

the hot swap plate is different from the soldered one. The reason I don’t support hot swap plate, is that kbd changed the plate design

Thank you for your support. In talking about updates, I asked a friend of mine to help me finish the FR4 board, with those gold or silver-plated edges that come on a PCB. See this example: https://brianleereviews.files.wordpress.com/2018/11/ltarnxt.jpg?w=750

im very interested in this as well. in regards to plate-pcb compatibility, am i mistaken to think a solder plate is still compatible with hotswap pcb albeit without the standoff holes?

Sorry for the late reply. I can't say, you could try, but I don't guarantee anything.

This is great, been looking for a FR4 plate for some time!
-
Is this still active?
Solder plates will work with hotswap if you do not use standoffs. this just means that youll have to take out one switch at a time to swap or take the pcb off the case and swap switches that way as the switches are the only thing holding the plate and PCB together.

Would love an FR4 plate for my KBD67 MKii. Hopefully this is still going on.
-
I would also be interested - even more so if I would not have to pay out my rear for shipping (Europe).
-
If this is still a possibility I'd happily buy an fr4
-
still quite keen for this, hopefully its not dead.
-
Any available sound tests? Or other descriptions of the differences in these versus the stock brass plate?
-
I would be interested
-
Idk if this is still a thing, but I'm definitely interested.
-
Is this gonna happen? I'd be down
-
Hopefully this is still going on, will really like a fr4 plate for my kbd67mkii.
-
If this is happening I would be so down for both plates.
-
Im interested if this is still a thing
-
I'd also be in for both plates. Maybe there is a chance for a small run?
-
also very interested in both the plates
