I am trying to build a custom keyboard but designing a pcb is too much for me! I am trying to make a 65% with rgb per switch. I was thinking hot swap too for the build being a bit easier. I was hoping for an opinion on this, I heard it wasn’t very reliable? Hoping to hear back :) I would love to have one completed in a couple weeks

Could you link the layout or something for reference or is it just a normal 65% with no extra layout options?. By the way designing a decent pcb is not that difficult, but a good one takes several iterations before it's perfect. I'll try and make a basic one with hotswap if you want.
I have made some pcbs for myself. you can have a look at PCB (https://github.com/ksamanth/PCB).

This is what I decided on, let me know any opinions on that too
Are we allowed to pay for the service? So I can buy a well made and completed

There are several out here that do sell services like designing pcbs and cases. If you want, you can look it up on reddit and here. I just do it for the fun, I will work on it in my free time and have something ready in a day or two. The layout looks fine. Cheers.

I really appreciate that, I have tried and twice I’ve been ghosted right after we fleshed out the details. At least I didn’t pay yet! :D I’m just at the point where I really just want the pcb completed because it’s taken a month because the communication was slow and eventually non existent.

Sure, I was in the process of making my own 60 pcb, will be working on this alongside that. :thumb:

If it is something you only do for yourself and change the left ctrl and fn to 1.25units maybe you can find an already made pcb

I appreciate that! And I’d rather have a bigger sized control like I do now; I need it to be a bit bigger for my pinkie to be able to find it lol
