Title: Has anyone used a Sorbothane sheet between plate & pcb?
Post by: MechKeys122 on Sat, 04 July 2020, 05:02:37
For anyone who has used a sheet of sorbothane between the plate and pcb, what thickness did you use? Standard 1.5mm plate. I know 4mm would be ideal but the closest thickness sorbothane seems to come in is either 3.17mm or 4.77mm. If i used 4.77mm and used something to clamp the pcb and plate together while i soldered the switches, would that work? Even if it did work, would it cause too much strain on the solder joints over time or would it hold since there would be so many of them?
