Hey Fam,
Just joined the Elongate GB with Project Keyboard. This will be my first soldered mech project and I'm somewhat nervous that I'm going to accidentally melt the PCB in the process. Is it typical for folks to order extra PCB's / plates? Plates make sense as there are different materials that one can choose from, but curious how often folks end up ordering a second (or third) PCB to go along with their case.

Most of the time i do buy a reserve PCB and Plate for a second build or if the main PCB stops working for some reason. Getting it now is easier then hunting one on mech market and you will also probably pay a premium if you would find one.

I've been wondering about this too, hoping to build a kit keyboard once the vendor sorts out parts. Probably won't get a second though as soldering should be quick.
What percentage of the time have you used the second PCB? Either as an alternative build or to replace a breakage?
