Hello geekhack!
This seems to be the place to figure out what to do with my M3501 AEKii that I actually used when I was younger! I didn’t realize the SFCM complicated dampened White Tactile switches were a thing until I looked into it, but I do remember years ago that this was a disappointing thing to lose.
I’d like something like a TKL because I don’t need the numpad, and maybe even could also loose the function keys.
In any case, I don’t want to get too involved, because I really just want to make this work and not go too crazy with keyboards in general. I can solder/make things but I am also willing to pay someone to do everything for me or even help me put together a kit with everything I need. I want to use this with a PC

Welcome :)
WASD keyboards has a solid TKL, it has Costar stabilizers tho otherwise I'd use one.
Filco and Leopold are good choices as well.

Oh cool, so the idea is to just buy a newer keyboard that has the AEKii layout, and then solder in my old switches/keys?
