Title: Logitech g pro x switch&keycap replacement options
Post by: jinhy20 on Sat, 18 July 2020, 05:05:14
Hello , I am more of kind of new to the custom keyboard community so I don't really know much about switches or reputable keycaps , hope the community can understand whatever I'm saying.

Basically I have purchased this keyboard and is looking forward to replace all the switches to maybe considering gateron switches , I don't mind the "tactileness" of the switch. But as for the custom keycaps, I heard that this keyboard has an unusual bottom layout , I assume the spacebar is 6 ? Was looking for PBT keycaps , which vendor would you guys recommend? Taihao? etc
I look forward for everyone's suggestion.
Thank you!

Just had a look and seems the spacebar is only 5.75u wide, with 1.5u Ctrl keys.  If you take the cap off and put it on top of the letters you can easily measure it - 6u is the same length as 6 standard sized keys.  If it's 6u you have very limited options for caps, if it's 5.75u I don't think you'll find any that fit.
