Title: Asus ROG gaming phone 3
Post by: tp4tissue on Thu, 23 July 2020, 16:17:57
Thoughts ?

The fact that they're on  3,  means clearly these rigs are popular and selling.

144hz screen, 270hz touch input, $800 base price, $1100 loaded.

I feel like ASUS should just stick to making PC parts.

That said, they're not doing as badly at making phones as RED, so *shrug* if it makes them happy.

having tried an asus phone i can see why they sell, cheap-ish and decent performances, not much bloatware (only facebook and game genie on mine) but the quality is really bad, actually the only asus product i have that is decent quality is a server motherboard, dual socket C32, i had very bad luck with their gaming motherboards (although to be fair they where 2nd hand) and i seen their laptops at work, huge amount of flex and the lower part of the screen bezel gets in front of the air output when opened, reducing airflow badly... so i dunno, maybe they should improve the desing

I have a friend with the ROG phone 1. The day he got it, he broke the screen. As soon as he got it replaced, he broke it again. In the time it took him to get that one fixed, the ROG Phone 3 was available...

Or is it world's worst repair service turnaround time?
